Description and History: This large house, built between 1907 and 1910 (shown below) for Edward Cook, was a Queen Anne Victorian design, incorporating a mix of siding materials and features from Tudor, Craftsman and Classical Revival styles. Like the Grange Estate, the first site along the Heritage Trail, this final site has a porte cochere (covered drive entrance for carriages). The Cook Estate was the last unaltered Victorian country estate complex (with carriage house and chicken coop) in the township. Its recent renovation (see above) leaves it without many of the details and architectural bric-a-brac that define the Victorian design period. NOTE: "Go To Next Site" button leads to Site 32.
